From Vis to Biz - Supporting Visionary and Sustainable Entrepreneurs

OTP Bank has the courage to support visionary entrepreneurs - this is the conclusion we reached after several discussions with the bank's clients. Thus, the project "From Vis to Biz" was born. The series captures the stories of entrepreneurs who started from scratch and achieved success by establishing sustainable businesses. The stories presented from the entrepreneurs' perspective are portrayed in an innovative, colorful, and fresh manner.
Those who watch the videos discover the beginning of the business, the challenges they faced, the successes they achieved, and the entrepreneur's vision.

The entire series can be viewed here.

We combat stereotypes with our GirlPower program.

GirlPower is a mentoring program through which OTP Bank encouraged young women to pursue their dreams in their careers and personal lives, fostering self-confidence, breaking down social barriers, and challenging cultural stereotypes, all for a duration of one year.
The mentors for this program were the Deputy CEOs of OTP Bank Romania: Roxana Hidan and Mara Cristea, whom you can learn more about here.
During the program, Lucia Prisecariu and Ana Vicoveanu benefited from networking opportunities, information, knowledge, and each received a scholarship worth 3000 euros. We witnessed the transformation of these two finalists, who openly discussed their experiences on social media.
Some of the topics covered during the mentoring sessions and on social media included Burnout, Work-Life Balance, Career Passion, how to be a good salesperson, and Overcoming the fear of failure.
Even though the GirlPower mentoring program has come to an end, our mission to combat gender stereotypes continues.

"We capture" the plastic from the Jiu River

On October 7th, we traded our office attire for hiking gear and embarked on the Jiu River for a cause that truly deserves our attention: plastic pollution. Together with Mara Cristea, Deputy CEO of the Finance Division, volunteers from OTP Bank gathered at the Ișalnița Dam on the Jiu River (Craiova county).
Whether on the riverbank or aboard one of the three boats provided by the organizers, we collectively collected floating waste to prevent it from reaching the Danube. This initiative was organized in partnership with the "Plastic-Free Waters" Association.

OTP Charity Tour - Cycling to Help Children from Yuppi Camp

Over four days, from September 22nd to 26th, 40 participants cycled a total of 290 kilometers during the OTP Charity Tour event. The initiative was born out of OTP Bank's desire to promote cycling as an eco-friendly mode of transportation and actively engage in a charitable cause that can change the lives of sick children. The event was organized by the Yuppi association in partnership with the Master Ski & Bike Club Sports Association.

The funds raised from the cycling tour were directed towards organizing experimental therapy camps for Yuppi, with the aim of providing children with chronic illnesses and their families with experiences that help them rediscover their strength and inner resources.

Amateur and semi-professional cyclists, the majority of whom were employees of OTP Bank Romania, participated in the charity tour. The shortest distance covered in a single day was 65 km, while some cyclists completed the entire four-day route, totaling 290 km.

This was just the first edition, and with all the compelling reasons and support, organizers are confident that next year they will see a much larger number of participants at the starting line, continuing to support this initiative.
