OTP Bank Romania Foundation successfully completes a new educational project in the field of visual facilitation

At the OTP Bank Romania Foundation headquarters in Bucharest, the dissemination event of the Vision program took place, a project that aimed to contribute to the development of visual facilitation skills among adult education and training professionals. The programme was funded through Erasmus+ Key Action 2 and was carried out in partnership with the organisation POT Project in Italy.

Started a year ago, the Vision program has included several specific activities, as follows:

1.    The setting up of focus groups in the countries of the partner organisations, Romania and Italy (from November 14th to November 30th 2022), aiming of identifying concrete training needs for the tools created within the project. This activity consisted, concretely, in conducting interviews with specialists in the field of training and visual facilitation, with the participation of 24 people from Romania and 13 from Italy.
2.    Creation of the visual facilitation toolkit (between December 2022 and February 2023), a handbook detailing dedicated working tools. This material, which is essentially the core of the project, was developed in Romanian, Italian and English, resulting in a final document with an integrated design.
3.    Production of video tutorials (between April and July 2023). Created as complementary resources to the visual facilitation tools manual, the filmed materials represented one of the most important activities of the project, both in terms of the complexity of the actions required (elaboration of the preparation document for the filming process, design and production of scripts for trainers, filming of some materials for feedback and corrections, and production of the final video materials), as well as the resources involved. The partner organisation in Italy, which was in charge of this activity, mobilised important resources and technical equipment which were transported to OTP Bank Foundation's headquarters in Bucharest, where the filming set for the video tutorials was set up.
4.    Organisation of national training sessions in Romania (9 - 11 October 2023) and Italy (20 - 22 October 2023) as a validation activity, which played a particularly important role in the project. Therefore, after the last training session (out of a total of three, held on three consecutive days), the partner organisations elaborated an evaluation report on the basis of which they checked to what extent the quality of the written and video materials created, reflected the expected results but also the achievement of the output indicators related to the project objectives. On this basis, opportunities for further improvement of the visual facilitation manual were created prior to its publication and dissemination, the latter action aiming at raising awareness of the project, its activities and results.

In addition to the above, monitoring and evaluation actions were carried out throughout the project in order to ensure a correct and efficient process of implementation of the planned activities.

"The project that is officially ending today represents a double success of OTP Bank Romania Foundation. On one hand, it is a reconfirmation of its vocation as a creator of relevant educational content; on the other hand, the coordination, for the first time, of a Romanian-Italian partnership in a project of such a large scale, contributes to the accumulation of valuable experience that will be fructified in the future through involvement in other similar initiatives. ", said Delia Murafa, Director of OTP Bank Romania Foundation.

OTP Bank Romania Foundation is the most important pillar for OTP Bank's social responsibility, assuming the role of becoming one of the main promoters of educational transformation in Romania.
