We would like to draw your attention to the increase in spoofing fraud attempts, where attackers call potential victims from a phone number that appears to be the bank's and pose as employees of financial institutions. CHF LIBOR (London Interbank Offered Rate) shall be replaced starting with 1 January 2022 with a new index called SARON (Swiss Average Rate Overnight)

On 22 October 2021, the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1847 on the designation of a statutory replacement for certain settings of CHF LIBOR the with the new SARON index was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. 

By this implementation act, the European Commission established the replacement rates for CHF LIBOR with tenors of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, for any agreement and for any financial instrument defined in Directive 2014/65/UE.

Therefore, beginning with 1 January 2022, all financial instruments due after this date, which are reported to CHF LIBOR, concluded by OTP BANK ROMANIA SA with all its clients, shall be replaced as of right, automatically, with the SARON combined rates, and the corresponding spread adjustments provided in the Commission Implementing Regulation, without the need for any other operations.
