Bucharest, August 8, 2022 – OTP Bank Romania increases the interest rate on term deposits in lei, with the aim of promoting responsible financial planning through a competitive and attractive offer. Thus, interest rates for 1- and 3-month deposits increased by 0.4% and 1.10%, reaching up to 5.10% and 6.10%, respectively.

At the same time, customers benefit from ZERO opening, liquidation and cash withdrawal fees. The latter benefit is applied in the case of cash withdrawals from term deposits on the maturity date, constituted with maturities of more than one month.

The new interest rates are available for all individual customers, being accessible both for the renewal of existing deposits and for the opening of new deposits. Deposits can be accessed both in branches and through the bank's digital channels. Customers who choose to open deposits through the Mobile Banking service - SmartBank - or through the Internet Banking service - OTPdirekt - will benefit from a bonus of +0.2%, meaning a total interest of up to 6.30% for deposits at term established for three months, in lei.
