Bucharest, August 17, 2009 – OTP Bank Romania announces the opening of a new territorial unit, number 106, in Covasna city. Until now, the banking institution was present in Covasna County through one branch in the county city, Sfantu Gheorghe.

The opening of the new unit reinforces the bank’s position on the Romanian market, proving that OTP Bank Romania is a safe and solid institution in the current financial situation. This year, 14 credit centers have been upgraded at the level of fully operational agencies, which stands as a further proof in this manner.

"We had to face several negative affects of the financial crisis on the Romanian market, during the previous period. However, OTP Bank Romania continues its consolidation process and opening a new branch in Covasna is an argument for this fact", said László Diósi, General Director of OTP Bank Romania.

The new banking unit in Covasna, located on December 1, 1918 St. 4A, provides products and services designed both for individuals and companies. "By opening a new branch in Covasna, we intend to be closer to our clients, so that they can benefit of the variety and flexibility of the products and services offered by OTP Bank Romania. Our intention is to meet all financial requests, by providing the best solutions for all segments of clients.", stated the branch manager in Covasna, László Koszti, with the occasion of the opening of the most recent territorial unit.
